ANZAC Day Celebrations in Yeoval and Obley – 25th April 2025
ANZAC Day, a national day of commemoration in Australia, will be observed on Friday, 25th April 2025, with meaningful events in Yeoval and Obley. Here’s an overview of the scheduled activities to honor the sacrifices of veterans.
- Yeoval Dawn Service: The commemorations will begin at 5:45 AM with a march from the Billabong to the Yeoval Memorial Hall. A solemn ceremony will follow at 6:00 AM to pay tribute to the war heroes.
- Obley Breakfast Service: In Obley, an early morning service accompanied by breakfast will start at 6:45 AM at the Obley War Memorial.
- Yeoval ANZAC March: Gather in front of YCS at 10:45 AM to witness the patriotic parade. Veterans (“diggers”) and students will join in, marching toward the Memorial Hall.
- Commemorative Ceremony in Yeoval: An official ceremony will take place at the Yeoval Memorial Hall at 11:00 AM (Forbes Street), where the community will come together to reflect on the courage and sacrifices of the soldiers.
